VISIT BASICS

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL VISIT INCLUDE?

A typical group visit includes a 60-minute general campus tour and a 30-minute admissions presentation followed by a 15-minute student panel.

WHAT WILL MY STUDENTS SEE ON A TOUR?

The general campus tour covers our academic colleges, points out many of our Cultural Resource Centers, and visits the Memorial Union, Valley Library, and Dixon Recreation Center.

CAN MY STUDENTS HAVE LUNCH ON CAMPUS?

Your group can eat at any of the three dining halls where you are able to pay with a credit card or cash. You can also request pre-paid dining cards for the students. Mention this in your registration and the Program Coordinator will attach the request form to your confirmation. Generally, groups request $10 per card.

The Memorial Union also has various food options, including TOGO’s, which some groups contact to order ahead or arrange catering for their visit. It is important to note that you cannot use the dining cards in the Memorial Union – just the dining halls.

CAN MY GROUP VISIT A CLASS?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer groups the opportunity to sit in on a class.

CAN MY GROUP SEE A RESIDENCE HALL?

Unfortunately, we cannot take groups into residence halls. This is for safety purposes and to respect the current students living on campus. We do have virtual tours online at: https://uhds.oregonstate.edu/residence-halls/tour-residence-halls

CAN WE TOUR OTHER DEPARTMENTS?

If you are interested in visiting other departments, please note that in your registration. The Program Coordinator will make arrangements with other departments based on their availability.
